I am the Edwin A. and Betty L. Bergmann Distinguished Service Professor at the Harris School and the College in the University of Chicago, a Research Associate at the National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER), and an elected Fellow of the Society of Labor Economics.
I served as the Deputy Dean of Harris School from 2011-2016 and as the Interim Dean of Harris for the 2016-2017 academic year.
I serve on the Board of Trustees of NORC and of the Panel Study of Income Dynamics (PSID), am a member of the Federal Economic Statistics Advisory Committee (FESAC), and sit on the Editorial Board of the Journal of Labor Economics. I was as an Associate Editor of the Journal of Human Resources from 2007-2015
